Currently the Bayside Bears are involved in their biggest fundraising event of the year. For the last 3 years the Members of the Bears family have been working the concession stands at Daytona international speedway. This event has replaced the need to do bucket drops. Due the size of our stands we are in need of several volunteers to go to Daytona and work the stands. This year we will be running two stands that require 31 people just for the 500.

2/25/2012 Nationwide Race
2/26/2012 the Daytona 500 (NASCAR Super Bowl)

This year the track is requiring a dress code for all workers. The league will cover the cost of the shirts and hats that the track is requiring us to wear. Additionally we will be required to wear black pants (No Jeans, Shorts, Or Capris), black belt, black socks, and black shoes. This event has been extremely fun for the league members that have worked the event in the past. The league will be offering incentives for going to Daytona. The first incentive is an automatic buy out of concession during the fall season. We will also be offering a discount on the fall registration fee this year for going to Daytona.
